“Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!” Psalm 34:3
This world is a crazy place! The media overtakes our lives, schedules are relentless, and all too often our lives are filled with wasteful uses of our time. Sometimes we just need a place to rest, be encouraged, and a place to renew our focus. As much as it would be nice to talk with people face to face, blogs provide a wonderful opportunity to share things and encourage one another. In a joint effort of prayer and consideration, Grace and I would like launch this blog spot as a place for you to take a break from life, be encouraged, challenged, and for the Lords name to be glorified. Will you join us by reading the articles, replying to the articles, and praying that the Lord would use this in your life to refresh your spirit? -Caleb
Hebrews “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
This blog has been in the making for about 6 months now. Caleb and I have gone back and forth weighing the pros and the cons of having a blog together. But as we have found out, the pros far outweigh the cons! Both Caleb and I have found so much wonderful, useful, and encouraging information in other people's blogs, so after much prayer we decided to start a blog of our own in hopes that we might encourage even just one person! We hope to use this blog as a forum to post our spiritual meditations, our hearts, our convictions, our joys, and the wonderful things God has been doing in our lives. This world is ravaged by hatred and negativity, and we hope this will be a safe place for people to come and be encouraged by the love and joy of God's word. God calls us to "Walk by faith, not by sight." and that is exactly what we have done in creating this blog. –Grace
Finally, it is our desire for this blog to be a place where the gospel is clear, and where heavy, burdened, and confused people can find hope for their souls through our King, Jesus! Everyone is welcome to comment, ask questions, and leave prayer requests. Our hearts are constantly being drawn away from God by the world. There are so many things, though not inherently bad, that clamor for our attention and focus. We are so full of joy that we get to serve the Lord in this way. God calls each and every believer to live a life submitted to His voice and calling. Though it is hard in today's society, we desperately hope to be an example and encouragement to our readers. Though, we are sinners and will fail at times, our God is forever strong and mighty in spite of our sinful human nature.
"For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the ones who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. “1 John 5:4-5 -Caleb and Grace
